What is an Endodontist?
This branch of dentistry specializes in saving teeth. If you have a tooth where the pulp has become infected, you have two basic options – either have a root canal or have the tooth pulled. An endodontist will prefer to try and save as much of the tooth as possible by performing a root canal.
